Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt

Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.

Using a large cookie scoop, portion dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden and centers are set.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
